RULES FOR VISITORS

As with all NASCAR events, fans attending the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway are expected to follow the Speedway’s rules and guidelines. Security teams are in place to help ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone.

Prohibited items

For the safety and comfort of all guests, certain items cannot be brought inside the facility. Anything that poses a security risk, disrupts the event, or could create a hazard is strictly banned. This also applies to merchandise or tickets intended for resale. All fans must pass through security screening at the gates, and refusal to comply may result in denied entry without a refund.

To avoid any issues, review Kansas Speedway’s official prohibited items list before race day. The following examples represent some of the most common restrictions, though the full list is more extensive:

  • Aerosol cans (except sunscreen, sunblock, bug spray, and hand sanitizer)
  • Air horns and noisemakers
  • Balloons, beach balls, frisbees, or other projectiles
  • Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, and hoverboards
  • Chairs (including collapsible chairs)
  • Clothing that is obscene or indecent
  • Coolers (foam or hard-sided, of any size)
  • Confederate flag displays
  • Dry ice
  • Drugs or illegal substances
  • Firearms of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Glass or ceramic containers
  • Knives longer than 3 inches closed or 6 inches open
  • Laser pointers
  • Monopods and tripods, whether collapsible or solid
  • Seat cushions with metal frames or components
  • Tools (including multi-tools with blades longer than 3 inches)
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones)

What you can bring

To make your trip to the Hollywood Casino 400 as easy and enjoyable as possible, it’s smart to travel light and bring only the basics. Essentials include your phone, a portable charger or spare batteries for cameras, some cash, and your tickets for each day of attendance. Adults should carry a valid photo ID, and it’s a good idea to have identification for children as well. Keeping your bag simple helps speed up the security process and leaves you with more time to enjoy the race weekend.

The following items are allowed inside Kansas Speedway:

  • Bags – Backpacks, diaper bags, clutch bags, and fanny packs up to 18" x 18" x 14" (maximum two per person)
  • Big Head signs – Allowed if they don’t block others’ views
  • Binoculars
  • Blankets
  • Cameras – Personal use only (professional/commercial use requires credentials)
  • CamelBaks
  • Coolers – Soft-sided only, up to 14" x 14" x 14" (one per guest)
  • Food and beverages – Including alcohol; no glass containers
  • Scanners
  • Seat cushions – Non-metal only (no frames)
  • Selfie sticks – Must be telescoping
  • Strollers – Permitted when accompanied by a child
  • Umbrellas – Permitted, but cannot be opened in the grandstands
