ABOUT KANSAS SPEEDWAY

Kansas Speedway is one of NASCAR’s most popular modern tracks, known for its fan-friendly layout and close proximity to Kansas City. Opened in 2001, this 1.5-mile tri-oval sits in the heart of the Midwest and quickly established itself as a favorite stop on the NASCAR calendar.

With wide racing lines and progressive banking in the turns, it produces side-by-side battles, high speeds, and plenty of strategy – hallmarks of great intermediate-track racing.

The speedway seats around 48,000 fans, offering excellent views from nearly every section of the grandstands. Its design allows spectators to see large portions of the track, making it one of the most accessible and enjoyable venues for race day.

The September Hollywood Casino 400 is the track’s marquee event, serving as a key race in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. Alongside it, the weekend also features the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the ARCA Menards Series, creating a packed three-day lineup of racing action.

Kansas Speedway is also home to the Hollywood Casino at Turn 2, a year-round entertainment destination located right on the property. Beyond the on-track action, fans can explore the Fan Zone, which includes interactive displays, sponsor booths, driver appearances, live music, and a wide variety of food and merchandise options. Pre-race festivities often feature concerts and the always-popular driver introductions, staged right in front of the grandstands.

For fans, a trip to Kansas Speedway blends the excitement of modern NASCAR racing with Midwestern hospitality. Easy access, free parking, and a wide range of entertainment make it a bucket-list venue for many. Whether it’s your first race weekend or a return trip, the Hollywood Casino 400 is a highlight of the season and delivers an experience you won’t forget.
